The first series of DREWM brings the unexpected and first adventure in painting by Álvaro Domingues. That leads in a group of 50 birds from Portuguese national fauna, from which we selected a few. Álvaro is one of the most surprising and captivating thinkers of our time. Being a geographer himself, with an outstanding academic path, his vision about places and people are a huge contribute to understand our current organization. We vehemently want to mention how he observes the world and its contrasts through his photography, another superlative facet. So here, Birds, bring another vision/experience during a very specific períod, the pandemic we faced years ago.
For us, being Álvaro one of the most distinct thinkers of our country, this collection represents how curiosity, obsession, observation and thinking can produce passionate results. Being that draw experience the first in his curriculum, it shows how outstanding is his personality that embraces the world and different knowledge around him. With that collection he reveals detail, exploitation, experimentation, observation bringing a collection of more than 50 birds full of texture, color, artistry and story. And everything started painting a bird for his granddaughter…
